You had to watch Ip Man part1 before you watch this part2, if you want to have a clear understanding about the movie.
As in this movie there are some flash back, and lot's of the previous characters. Like Chow Ching-chuen(acted by 任達華), Chow Kong-yiu(act by 鄭家星), and Jin Shanzhao (act by 樊少皇).
In this movie, show that Ip Man had arrived to Hong Kong with the help from his friend Chow Ching-chuen (but was hit by a bullet to his head), and later lost contact.
In Hong Kong, he tried to open a school to teach Wing Chun and propagate the martial art, as well as make his living. But was told by Hung(Acted by Hong Jin Bao) tells Ip that to set up his own school, he must be subjected to challenges posed by other martial arts masters in order for his Wing Chun art to be recognized. And he accept it.
But after winning every fight and a draw with Hung, Hung ordered Ip to pay up his monthly protection fees, which he refuses. Later, Hung's students stop people from joining Ip's Wing Chun school, which eventually causes a fight between them and Ip's students on the streets. Ip is forced to close his school due to residents' complaints......
And the part of the show is Hung vs Twister, and something happen to him......
And the final match of Ip vs Twister.
The rest you had to go and watch the movie, for me i think that part2 is better then part1. As there are more fight scene which display Zheng Zi Dan skill and also had Hong Jin Bao as the martial arts choreographer, which had really bring every fight scene to the best. Compare to the part1 which is more focus on the Japanese world war, i still prefer part2.
